I’m not a huge fan of rented linens. Nonetheless, like most couples, we rented our linens and tablecloths. They were ok. But they were also scratchy, made of some weird polyester material, and certainly not my favorite. I would much rather have had unique, hand-made napkins made out of pretty fabric or vintage bedsheets.
So when I saw these monogrammed DIY napkins over on Good Day I had to share them with you. She downloaded monogrammed fabric patterns from Flickr, printed them out on Avery iron on paper, and cut them out with her Cricut cutter. However, if you are like me and are living sans Cricut, you can make a stencil and hand cut your iron on paper. Find full instructions here.
If you are planning a DIY wedding and it’s small, I can see these monogrammed napkins adding a sweet and unique personal touch to your table decor. However, if you’re inviting like 150 people, forget about it. Of course, you can customize the napkins for just you and yours. Or just your wedding party. Or forget monogrammed napkins for the wedding reception and do them for your rehearsal dinner. Or perhaps you are throwing a bridal shower…
