mountain joy and romance at whiteface lodge
I have been totally blog stalking Clark + Walker Photography for a while now. So when I saw this elegant upstate NY wedding on the Clark + Walker Photography blog, I just had to share it with you. Luckily I was the first blogger to ask 🙂 The insanely talented Alisha Clark captured the joy, the grace, and all of the lovely details and special moments of the day. I love so many things about this preppy-inspired mountain wedding. I love the fresh, tiffany blue and tan color palette. I love the heirloom jewelry the bride wore. And I love that all of the dresses came from J. Crew! Most of all I love the tenderness and affection Kristen and Josh clearly have for one another. How wonderful!
OK, so this is a gorgeous wedding, right? The bride is beautiful, the groom handsome, and the details lovely and elegant. But what inspires me about this wedding is the sweet joy on the bride and groom’s faces. It’s like, you could take everything away–all the details, and the scenery, and the attire–and the bride and groom would be just as happy to be in one another’s presence. I think that’s what ultimately make a wedding great for everyone.
You know me. I also love any wedding that incorporates family heirlooms. The bride wore her mother’s earrings and her gorgeous wedding band dates back to 1933 and was her great-grandmother’s.
