Martha Stewart has a Special Issue of her Weddings Magazine devoted to Real Weddings. Have you seen it? In typical Martha fashion, it’s gorgeous.

I’m going to give it to you straight: At first I couldn’t really tell how this “special edition” was especially different from a regular edition of Weddings. It has her “Good Things” section, lots of real weddings, and (my personal fav) the anniversary story on the back page. So what makes this so “special”?

I can’t get enough of last week’s Berkshire Hills Wedding in Massachusetts. Not only is the bride gorgeous, the wedding details impeccable, and the photography amazing, but the bride has one of the coolest ceremony ideas I’ve come across.

To prep for tomorrow’s podcast on wedding gowns, I thought I’d share a site that reviews knockoff wedding gowns made in China. It’s called Your Dream Dress for Less and it shows the good, the bad, and some downright hideous Chinese knockoff wedding gowns.

I’ll be honest with you; these ultra-cheap, made-in-China, direct wholesalers scare the crap out of me. I mean look at that image up there! They routinely approach me to buy advertising on the Hindsight Bride blog. I politely say no. And this is coming from a self-proclaimed David’s Bridal bride. How can you tell if your dress will be a lovely, affordable knock-off of Vera Wang OR a total train wreck that sends your running for Davids? (more…)

Look closely. That isn’t your typical wooden sign pointing to the reception and ceremony. Those signs show how far away this couple’s first kiss was, and when they changed their relationship status on Facebook, and where their first apartment was. So adorable!
