Although September is associated with fall and going back to school, it often continues to be a hot month. If you get an Indian summer, it can be one of the hottest months of the year.
For these hot, late summer days, there’s nothing quite as refreshing as herb-infused lemonade.

Maybe, but with these bad boys, it shouldn’t be
I’ve got to tell you. If the French Marcon fad is over, I’m gonna cry. I’ve spend all spring and summer trying to perfect the art of marconage at altitude. I’d be bummed if I finally got the hang of it only to find that macrons are “so last Tuesday, or whatever…” So I thought I’d give you this little picture of loveliness to re-inspire. Yes those are heart shaped macrons with fresh raspberries. LOVE!

Baby it's warm outside!
What a hot summer it is!!! During these dog days, even mountain brides, who tend to enjoy a more temperate climate, want to offer refreshing cooling cocktails to their guests.
For brides and grooms looking to serve mojitos at their wedding, there are two main problems:

Gin + Tonic + Cucumbers = Total Summer Refreshment
I'm a big fan of signature drinks. They can strengthen your theme or color palette. They can tell a story about you and your partner to your guests. And limiting your beverages to a signature drink, wine and beer (instead of offering a full bar) can save you money.

Typically I've been doing a signature drink at the beginning of each month, but the booze Gods were calling to me last night, first with my conversation with @BrokenSaucer followed by cocktails at a girlfriends house. But she didn't serve just any cocktail, she busted out some Hendrick's Gin and tonic. Now I'm not much of a gin drinker myself, but found myself intrigued when she started cutting slices of cucumber into it.

It is getting hot, hot, hot across the nation. Even in the relative coolness of the mountains, the stronger sun and dry air can dehydrate your guests quickly, so it's important to keep them hydrated, especially if your having an outdoor wedding. Instead of plain bottled water, try water infused with fresh fruit, herbs, and bright summer vegetables like cucumber, strawberries, or oranges. You can also get fancy with different combinations, and, of course, you can easily match the colors or theme of of your wedding.
