Canyons Ski Resort, Utah
I’ve been sitting on this super pretty pink mountain wedding at Canyons Ski Area in Utah for over a year. I contacted James Erick last March. He said yes to publication (w00t!) and I asked for the bride’s contact info to get my signature Hindsight Bride interview for you, but I had the wrong email address. :-( I followed up with James, but to no avail. So, I filed it away in my “pending file” and unfortunately I forgot about it… until this weekend when I was cleaning out my files. I thought, screw it, it’s my blog, I’ll publish it if I want. Tada!

The Tetons (Wyoming/Idaho)
When I saw this delightful Wyoming wedding waiting in my inbox from bride Lisa I felt like the luckiest blogger in town. But not as lucky as Lisa herself, who titled her wedding “Lucky in Love.” And not as lucky as you who gets the full benefit of Lisa’s best hindsight advice for her DIY wedding (Mountain Style.)

Hudson Valley Destination Wedding
Hudson Valley Weddings hold a very special place in my heart. The Catskills are tall, noble mountains that create a stunning backdrop for any wedding, while the flat, low Valley floor makes for easy weddings, especially for your older guests. There aren’t any high altitude concerns, and finding level ground for your tent, tables and chairs is easy. This wedding was held in the backyard of the groom’s parents’ home, with an expansive view of the Catskills, a large open yard, and a beautiful in-ground pool. It made for a wonderful setting for a backyard wedding.

Vintage Ski Wedding Photo booth
I am just bursting with excitement. I simply can’t wait to show you this European ski wedding in the Alps. I also want to share this sneak peek and brilliant idea for tying your wedding theme and photobooth together.
To be sure, photo booths are the hottest thing around. They’re fast moving from trend to classic, and why not? It’s a great way to get great pictures of your guests having a good time. One thing that strikes me about this photo booth is it’s simply an attractive corner of a lodge with lots of props that make sense: vintage skis and poles, a toboggan, and hats and goggles. It fits in with the ski wedding theme and looks classy and classic without being stodgy.
