The Best of Martha Stewart Living Holiday Handbook

For many of us, the holiday season is is a DIY extravaganza.We bake cookies, design cute custom gift tags, and make all manner of handcrafted gifts from homemade jams to handcrafted liqueurs, such as Kaluha. Magazines are chock full of these little DIY projects. One of my favorites is the Holiday Handbook from Martha Stewart. Many of the DIY projects and crafts can be modified for mountain weddings.

Think of all the possibilities: You could customize table numbers/messages; use them as candle holders for mood lighting at the table; or write your bridesmaids names on them for a personalized bouquet holder.

DIY Friday
Those who know me know I’m no designer. I can’t just look at say, a pencil eraser and think, DIY stamp! I need other, more talented people in my life to think of the brilliant projects. In other words, I’m a fan of Martha, but I’m no Martha.


Even the newest of foodies knows that al dente means “to the tooth” in Italian and is generally used to describe when pasta is perfectly done: mostly soft but a bit firm and chewy on the inside. I cannot think of a more perfect escort card or place setting, especially for a foodie couple, than one make from forks.
