Oh this gown, this lovely, lovely gown!
Like many of you, I look at many, many images of weddings each day. And there are plenty "swoon-worthy" pictures out there. But every now and then, an image or a detail strikes at the core of my sense of beauty. I'm not talking about the typical oh-I-love-this-or-I-adore-that variety. I'm talking about certain things–colors, shapes, composition–that feel so very good and so very joyous that the insides of my elbows get all tingly. This gown is it. It would have been an absolute game-changer had I seen it while planning our own wedding.
I remember seeing the gown recently. In fact, I swear I used an image of that dress some where, but I cannot for the life of me find it. It's possibly buried in one of my countless inspiration folders on my desktop. None the less I am over the moon for this bride's dress and couldn't wait to share it with you! Saw this amazingly beautiful video over on La Belle Bride this weekend and, simply stated, I love this wedding.

Check out the Archived Trash the Dress Debate
So I missed the Smart Bride Boutique's Trash the Dress Debate. Boooooo. Because I was on vacation. Yaaaaaay. But… (drum roll)… it has been archived. Double Yaaaaaay.
As you may know, I've done a few posts about Trashing or Treasuring the Dress this month. By now, it should be no secret that I am in favor of trashing the dress. Though I must admit that my own definition of trashing ends with a good dose of Oxy-Clean. {FYI: Oxy-Clean removes chain grease (-: }

Would you Trash The Dress (TTD)?

WHOA! OK trashing the dress is not always this dramatic. Sometimes it is, but not always. Trashing the dress could be as simple as one of Dana's TTD sessions over at Broke-Ass Bride. She and Fresh Hubby traipsed around the city in their wedding garb, not caring if they get a little dirt and grime on their threads. I mean, seriously, TTD sessions are gorgeous, but would you really want to lay down on a tractor tire 30 minutes before your wedding. Um, no, probably not.

{Etsy Eye Candy: organic wedding gowns}
Not only are these gowns made with organic renewable materials, they are also under $1000! Of Note: If you are living in the southern mountains, Threadhead Creations is located in Tennessee. Buying closer to home helps reduce your carbon footprint.

The buzz in the blog-o-sphere this week was all about spring Bridal Week. While I am typically not gown-centric on this blog, there are times when I am truly inspired by new wedding gown trends and designs. This season, I am loving Joan Shum. The short hemline and French flavor are tres romantic!
