Thanks a million to Amber over a Lotus Blossom Photography for sending this along! How totally appropriate for my life right now. Not only am I a climber myself, but life has been super crazy lately and I often feel like I'm hanging by a thread each day. I have big, big news that I am bursting to tell you all. But the timing is still not quite right, so you'll have to wait.
In the meantime I hope you enjoy yet another extreme day-after shoot that Jay from Philbrick Photography has graciously shared with us.

SMP boldly claimed that this is the best wedding video ever; I will boldly agree.
The videographer said that they did five complete takes throughout the wedding day, including one at the alter. Five complete takes! What a powerful reminder that quirky and unique wedding media, be it video or still images, is not magic.

You Make My Wedding Rock
It's raining today in the Southeast. It rained all yesterday too. That's what happens in the mountains. It rains. Beware you Southern spring brides. It rains every week here in the spring. Not as much in the fall, but it can still happen. You're best bet is to plan for it rather than pray it doesn't happen.
Have some colorful umbrellas and cute galoshes on hand. Make sure you have a tent or a backup plan for outdoors weddings and receptions. And no matter what, enjoy the day! Here's some of my favorite rainy day inspiration in the mountains from the fantastic Jenna Walker via Style Me Pretty.

Remember those amazingly romantic wedding cakes I featured a couple of months ago? Well, I just saw over on the Ritzy Bee Blog that the bakery, Maggie Austin Cake is a finalist on the Today Show's Wedding for Melissa and Jeremy. I would love to see Maggie win!
Please, please vote for Maggie Austin Cake here!

For DIY Invitations, Decorations, and…
Winter weddings make me feel all cozy and warm. Not only was our first wedding celebration on a snowy, blustery day in Mammoth Lakes, CA, but I did most of my planning in the winter months. I gorged myself on winter wedding eye candy from my favorite blogs. With the promise of winter I feel a bit of comfort and joy in my heart as I remember the lovely days I spend designing our own winter wedding.
