Lovely Lake Eden Wedding Featured
I found a western North Carolina wedding that made my heart absolutely soar. It has everything that inspires me: burlap on the bridal bouquet, family heirlooms, tablescapes that include glass jars and found objects, and a big yellow bicycle. I had been following Abigail Seymour all summer and just HAD to ask her if she would let me share it with you. Alas I was too late. It had already been picked up by Grey Likes Weddings. Darn! But yippee as well! I love Grey Likes Weddings! And I'm thrilled that local talent in western North Carolina is attracting (rightfully) the attention of numerous wedding bloggers. Congratulations to both Abigail Seymour and Grey Likes Weddings!
Here are a handful of my favorite images and ideas from this wonderful Lake Eden wedding via Grey Likes Weddings.

I bring you the final installment of Sarah and Justin's Camp Highlander wedding. And I leave you with some quick and dirty, but very much important, hindsight advice from the bride:
Our wedding at Camp Highlander was the best weekend of our lives. NOTE: Make sure to choose a camp that has some experience in hosting a wedding weekend. There are more obstacles planning a camp wedding versus a church/ballroom wedding. Our vendors were creative, patient and flexible and all had experience with camp weddings.

Today we have part two of this gorgeous camp wedding shot by the ever talented, North Carolina photographers at Visio Photography. There's so much to love about this wedding, especially for this mountain girl. Burlap runners on the tables, a birch bark cake, rustic candle guest favors, and all of the little details that make a camp wedding, well, camp-like. Canoe paddles, kayaks, and rustic barns all contribute to the landscape. And how about that handmade save the date? It's diabetes-inducing sweet!
But what I love the most about this wedding is how elegant it also is. It just goes to show, romantic elegance and rustic charm are not mutually exclusive! Elegance abounds. Just look at her delicate lace gown and his dapper tux, or the soft romantic bouquets and centerpieces. Consider the understated pearl drop earrings and embellished bronze flats from part one of this camp wedding. They are at once classic and modern. What's not to love?

Elegant Romance and Rustic Flare
According to the Wall Street Journal, summer camps are the newest trend in wedding venues. How awesome is that? I think summer camp weddings are an excellent way to entertain your guests and express your individuality as a couple. So when I saw Charlotte NC Destination Photographer Visio's image published in said article, I just had to contact them to see more. And am I sure glad I did! They have graciously offered to share Sarah + Justin's sweet summer camp wedding at Camp Highlander.
There is so much I love about this wedding. In particular, I love that the couple mixed classic elegance with rustic flare. The traditional wedding gown and tuxedo seem right at home among canoe paddles, mason jars, and wooden signs.
