OK, not really. This is more a commentary (read: spoof) on "looking beautiful" in general, but I think applies to bridal beauty.
I'm totally supportive about looking your best on your wedding day. I had a wonderful time taking better care of myself during the lead up to my wedding. I ate better; pampered myself with regular haircuts; updated my makeup; and got manicures. I felt so glamouous. It was super fun. That's why I did it. Not because Hindsight groom would not love me otherwise, but because it was a rare treat.
Bridal beauty preparation should NOT be about stress, or achieving an ideal body, or looking like anyone other than the person your partner fell in love with.

Introducing Technology Tuesdays
I am a technophile. I am constantly trolling the Web for new tools for helping me stay organized and to integrate the disparate parts of my life. To indulge my love for all things tech, and offer you all tips, reviews, and resources, I will do a technology post every Tuesday. I will review tools I think will help you plan your wedding. To kick things off, I've been test driving a wedding-planning site called MyWeddingWorkbook.com.
NOTE: This is NOT a sponsored post. I have received neither money nor incentives for this review

I got married in a strapless, ruched gown, full of delicate beading with a unique split train. It was perfectly me. It was also fairly typical of wedding gown styles for the mid to late 2000s. If I were to get married in 2010, on the cusp of the next decade, I would look to one of these delectable trends for inspiration.
Colorful Dresses
In a recent post about bridesmaids dresses, I invoked the words of the great Anti-Bride Carolyn Gerin who said, "wearing white is a choice." Well, check out the unique choices these brides made for their dresses. After all, not everyone looks fantastic in white. I for one look better in turquoise. And of course, these would make fine bridesmaids dresses as well.

Looking for ways to cut costs without looking cheap?
In today's tough economy there is a trend toward scaling back on wedding expenses. One trend that I love is the indie-gone-mainstream trend of using antique and thrift store vases for centerpieces. You can lend a sweet vintage look to your wedding, go with a rustic vibe, or create a casual backyard wedding vibe. You can even make little centerpieces look ultra modern (see the last image in this post). The best part: they can help slash your flower bill.
Here's a a few tiny centerpieces that inspired me this month:
Flowers don't need to be in each vase. Some vases can have a few sprigs of filler. Here the filler that has delicate flower-like qualities, which look just as elegant as the other flowers in the arrangement.
